At 11:47 am on August 18, 2026, the Dafang County Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning signal for lightning: it is expected that thunderstorms will occur in towns (streets) such as Machang, Niuchang, Lihua, Babao, Xinglong, Walnut, Changshi, Sanyuan and Baili Dujuan Baina, Pudi, Pengcheng, Dashui, and Shachang in the next 6 hours, accompanied by strong convective weather such as strong winds and short-term heavy precipitation in some areas. Please stay away from large trees, corners of walls, or areas with protruding metal objects. Relevant departments should take lightning response measures and strengthen prevention of disasters and accidents caused by lightning activities.
