Meteosat-IODC is a second-generation EUMETSAT meteorological satellite in geostationary orbit, located at 41.5°E, over the Indian Ocean. It is currently operating under Meteosat-8, providing relay services - including relay of tsunami warnings - to a terrestrial scanning, search-and-rescue monitoring and data acquisition platform.
