Fengyun-4 is the second generation of China's stationary meteorological satellite. Its main development objectives are: to stabilize the satellite attitude in a three-axis manner, improve the time resolution of observation and regional maneuvering detection capability; Improve the performance of scanning imager to strengthen the monitoring capability of medium and small scale weather system; Development of atmospheric vertical detection and microwave detection, to solve high orbit three-dimensional remote sensing; We will develop extreme ultraviolet and X-ray solar observations, and strengthen space weather monitoring and early warning.
